Hola Everyone!!!
Oh yes okay so JJ and the boys are officially getting baptized this week! It has been such a roller coaster with them.. It seems like every time they would have a date to be baptized someone would get sick or something would come up, but we have been fasting and praying a lot and we know that this is the one! She is so excited too. They announced her baptism in church yesterday and I think that really helped to make it sink in that she was really going to do it. I have never seen someone change so much in my mission. She will always tell us how the gospel has changed her and she is a better, nicer person because of it. I think it's really cool that she can see the change in herself as well.
We did family history with Will this week and he was 100% sure he wouldn't be able to find anyone. All he knew was his mothers name and where she was from in a little town in Mexico. He kinda remembered his grandpas name but didn't feel confident in it. Well we got on and found his grandparents and all of his aunts and uncles that have passed away. We even found his uncles that he hadn't seen since he was 5. He was amazed and couldn't believe all the people the computer found. He is even more excited now to take his family names to the temple.
AND I got to go on exchanges with sister Hazen this week! It was a dream, literally we kept saying how unreal it was to be together again. She only has 2 transfers left and I'm kinda hoping she will be sent to 4th ward for her last two so we can be comps again. I miss her so much already. We got to have lunch with our best friend from YSA and since she taught me how to teach it was cool to teach in complete unity again.
Oh and I almost just forgot my favorite miracle from the week! So we were driving back from ABQ and stopped in Los Lunas for gas and we met a super cool guy. He was standing outside his car and asked us if we wanted to talk. He told us he had just gotten divorced and found out the day before that he has a serious illness. he wanted to believe that God was there for him but felt like he had no knowledge of Him. We shared parts of the plan of salvation and asked if we could send missionaries to talk to him. It was so random but it just shows that there are millions of people all over the world that are being prepared to receive this message! He agreed and we were able to set up an appointment for him and the elders that serve up there.
Well I love you all so much!!! I hope you have a great labor day!!
Love,
Sister Nye
